Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where is your ministry based?

We currently have members in Central Alabama, Southeast Alabama, and North Georgia. With Knights of Pentecost M/M servants located where they are, we are often able to respond to needs throughout Alabama and Georgia, as well as in the Florida Panhandle.  We don't restrict ourselves, however, to our local areas.  If we can help someone in need anywhere they are, we will do our best to serve there too, if it's in our power and ability to do so.

2. Can you tell me the meaning behind your name?

There are a lot of reasons behind why we chose to be called "Knights." The knight has a    long history of being a bond servant to his or her master.  In our case, our master is Jesus Christ, the lord of Lords.  We choose and strive to live our lives based upon His example, as loving, caring individuals who, by the power of His Holy Spirit, are able to be instruments of His grace while we walk out our lives here on earth.  As Knights, we are sworn to act as such, servants to all people, dedicated to our cause (spreading the good news of Jesus' love for all people), and Champions of Good.  As Knights, we are warriors, but not against people.  Ephesians 6:12 says that "we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."  It is a spiritual battle, and we choose to shine the light God has given us through the power of prayer and by praise to our King.

The word "Pentecost" has several meanings, but to us, it signifies the power of the Holy Spirit.  In the book of Acts, during the day of Pentecost (an annual Hebrew feast), God imparted the early Christians and consequently Christians today with the power to live and grow in the Christian walk and to be living examples of Christ-likeness when He gave us the power of the Holy Spirit - God's Spirit, the ever-present Spirit of Jesus Christ.  The Holy Spirit is our counselor, our helper, our comforter, our guide, and the source of our strength to do God's good work during our lives.

Simply put, by being Knights of Pentecost, we are servants by the power of God's Holy Spirit.

3. Does that mean you're "Pentecostal?"

No, not by the denominational meaning of the word -- we are a non-denominational ministry.  We believe the Holy Spirit is one part of the Trinity; God is a single Being who exists, simultaneously and eternally, as a communion of three persons:  Father (the Source, the Eternal Majesty); Son (the eternal  Word, incarnate as Jesus of Nazareth); and Holy Spirit.

4. What kind of church do you go to?

Each of our members are plugged in securely to a local church in our area, and we believe very strongly about being active members in a Bible-based church body.  We participate as much as the needs of the motorcycle ministry will allow, and many of us sing, teach, play an instrument, or hold an office in our local church.  We are a non-denominational ministry and as such, none of our members are required to attend a certain type of church.  We believe strongly in the unity of all Christians, and seek to establish relationships with fellow believers regardless of denomination.

5. Who do you minister to?

Primarily, bikers.  We are a "motorcycle ministry."  Of course, if someone needs help, we will do our best to assist, whether they ride a bike or not.

6. If I see you at a rally, will you preach at me?

Only if you ask us to.  We build relationships with people from all walks of life, and whether you're a Christian or not, we want to be a friend.  Don't misunderstand us though, we want every biker to receive salvation and believe the Lord Jesus died for their sin and rose from the grave to pay for our sin once and for all... we might give you some literature to read, or we might offer to pray with you, but only after we have listened to your needs and worked to be called your friend.  We will never condemn or judge you, we only want to show you the hope and love we have through Jesus Christ.

7. I'm a Christian biker, how do I join the Knights of Pentecost M/M?

Congratulations, you've met two of the primary qualifications.  We have a relatively long process for becoming a member.  During that time you serve where and when we serve as often as possible, and you get a first hand view of how we work.

We don't have this process to be exclusive or cliquish or to keep people out.  We want to afford every opportunity to get to know you, and to get a feel for your dedication to God's service.  Even more importantly, we want you to get a good feel for what we do, and to get to know us.  It's rewarding being a Servant for Christ and being a part of God's work in the biker community, but since different Motorcycle Ministries are used by God in different ways, we want to make sure you're where you want to be, and that our passions, focus, and culture is a good match for what God has called you to do.  We'd love to speak with you further about joining us.  Please email us at postmaster@knightsofpentecost.com and we will contact you quickly.

8. I want to support you... do you sell stuff?

We're working on that.  We plan on having a full line of support wear (t-shirts, hats, etc.) in the very near future.  Meanwhile, it takes money to get all that cool stuff to sell to you (and maintain food and clothing banks and put gas in our vehicles, etc., etc.), if you want to donate to our ministry, click here.

We are also working on securing our 501(c)3 status (which will let you deduct your charitable contribution to KofPMM on your taxes), but that takes money too, stay tuned to this website for developments.

9. I still have a question or five ... and I've read everything here.

Email us!  Would love to talk with you...
